Stay Cool in the Summer by Visiting These Places in the Pacific Northwest
Soon, the summer season is about to give a knock at the doors. This season is considered to be the craziest time of year! When the sun is around, it warms up quite a bit and sometimes can be enough to discourage many from leaving home to explore.

Perhaps the best way to avoid the heat is to hop on a boat charter in the Pacific Northwest and visit these great spots that are worth exploring even on a warm day. As the dawn makes its way, you can be part of the sunset cruise, dine at the beach under the gaze of stars or other activities that can be enjoyed only when the stars set in.

Each location will keep you cool enough so you don't melt!
Ape Cave – No... No... don't get scared by the name! You won't run across or get chased by any apes in this 2.5-mile long lava tube just south of Mt. Saint Helens. This cave was created some 2,000 years ago by a powerful eruption of the nearby volcano. It's the longest of its type in the country and third longest in all of North America. The cave stays chilly throughout the year say around 42 degrees. It is an excellent way to escape the summer heat. It's a popular attraction during the summer so get there early to find a decent spot to recreate and rejuvenate. However, beware of mice, bats, and Bigfoot!

San Juan Island, Washington – Hop on the private boat charters in the Pacific Northwest and set sail on the turquoise blue waters. Enroute on board your yacht, do not miss the chance to enjoy plenty of romance, peace and tranquility along with being part of outdoor adventures. San Juan Island, the largest in the archipelago, features eclectic boutiques, art galleries and several museums. It is also one of the hot spots for whale watching in the world. Killer whales are frequently seen not far from shore at Lime Kiln Point. Have a close encounter with the wildlife on your kayaking tour.

Fort Columbia Historical Park – If you're not the one who is into Bigfoot, you will find the old batteries of this state park a better option. While you explore their underground labyrinth-like layouts, its dark, wet, and quiet structures will keep you cool throughout. The temperature in the darkness filled corridors and rooms is welcoming on a warm day.  The sounds of dripping water, though somewhat eerie, is relaxing and rejuvenating to hear. You can look for pirate ghosts and be sure not to let the large steel doors and bars lock you in for the night! Just joking!

Snoqualmie Tunnel – A portion of the Iron Horse State Park rails-to-trails project features a 2.3-mile long tunnel that runs directly underneath to the Cascade mountains. Traveling in the dark is what tempts the hikers, bikers, and fearless explorers from across the world. This is just another way to cool yourself off. Being deep underground makes the temperature quite enjoyable. The light at the end of the tunnel can be somewhat of an illusion. Is it the exit point, headlamps from others heading in your direction or something heinous? This is left for you to figure out.

Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park – If underground and heights have never been your favorite, then visit this wonderful National Park located inside of the historic Cadillac Hotel building, and everything will be leveled. Learn all about the Klondike Gold Rush through informative displays, activities, photos, and more. It's a very cool place where everyone wants to snap a picture next to a pile of gold bars! They're probably fake, but you never know.
At all of the above-mentioned places, the visitors will have a gala time even when the city is burning due to the scorching heat of the mighty sun in the summer season. With your friends and family hop on your own private boat charter in the Pacific Northwest, explore and enjoy these places which can cool you off during the summer season.
